H2O Divers and GDPR

The EU has realised that while technology has evolved drastically in the last few decades, privacy laws are not. Personal Data means any data that relates to an identifiable person who can be directly/indirectly identified from that data. In this case, it means personal data that you give to us via our site.

We also may ask you to answer some medical questions in order to check that you can safely participate in scuba diving activities.

- To gather statistics to help us to improve our products and services
- To evaluate suitability for and allow participation in diving or non-diving related activities
- To administer certifications to be awarded by third party training agencies

How long we keep your information for?
Any information we collect from you will only be kept for as long as the law requires us to (currently 7 years) after which it will be destroyed.

Other information is collected automatically by our IT systems when you visit the website. These data are primarily technical data such as the browser and operating system you are using or when you accessed the page. These data are collected automatically as soon as you enter our website.

GOOGLE FONTS: For uniform representation of fonts, this page uses web fonts provided by Google. When you open a page, your browser loads the required web fonts to display texts and fonts correctly. RECAPTCHA V3 – H2O Divers website uses reCaptcha v3 on the contact forms and on the blog comments to validate that inputs are not passed by bots. ReCaptcha protect our website against unwanted spam and other types of automated abuse.

H2O Divers may collect participant information regarding children who wish to participate in Training Programs, with such participation requiring parental approval. Except for the purposes of providing program completion materials and administering the PADI Quality Management process, information from such children is kept private, is not used by H2O Divers and is not provided for use by any third party at any time.
While H2O Diver cannot prevent children under age from viewing our website, such children may not use or register for the services offered on the site without parental permission. H2O Divers strongly encourages parents and guardians to supervise the activity of all children under the age of 18 in their use of the internet.
